Sawyer Randle Lee
04.11.11
Pretty standard week this week. We did a lot of Finding in a place called Bogue. It's the first time we went in there and it is HUGE. It's a really nice area and the people that we found seem really good. We taught 35 lessons this week. We really have been trying to increase our teaching pool. We have some baptisms on good Friday, the 22nd of April. Yesterday at fast and testimony meeting we had one of the best meetings I have had since being here. The testimonies were awesome. Jhordan's, who got baptized last week, mom gave an awesome testimony. All the members that got up did great. After that we went to dinner at President Lee's and we had a competition to see who could eat the most. I ate the most food but felt so sick that I couldn't eat any dessert but the food was awesome. Fried chicken, rice and peas, potato salad and vegetables. Sister Lee makes the best food. On Wednesday, I taught my first district meeting and it went really well. We have been teaching a lot of the Restoration lately and I have bee reading the history of the church; it's crazy all the stuff that the church went through and yet it is one of the most recognized and ordered institutions in the world today. Not only all the stuff the people had to go through but to see how much faith the people had and how so many times things worked out for them is crazy to think about. Elder Conder and I have been really working hard here. We had a great surprise the last two weeks, Terriann, the investigator that we stopped seeing, came to church the two weeks in a row. She might be ready to start progressing again so that was really cool. Also, I have a new nephew, Sawyer Randle Lee, born last Monday. That's the most exciting news of the week for me. I love being here and doin what I'm doin. Recently, I have been putting my last name into a lot of songs and it's been pretty awesome. Also our house has had literally 8 cockroaches in it over the last few days so today we bug proofed our house. Here are some pics of my sister's "pikney". (Jamaican for kid) SEE ya next week. Signed, Elder Randle and Elder Conder.
