So the big news of this week was the baptism that we had on Sunday, March 20th. Jhordn Snthony Smith was baptized in the ocean on his birthday. It was really cool to be able to do it in the ocean. It was another great experience here in Montego Bay. Brother Smith will be a great member here. Nothing else really too exciting happened this week. We saw some cows in what looked like a cow pasture so that was cool. Some of the investigators we are working with hit some speed bumps but we are helping them get over them. April should be a good month, we have some baptism dates set. For our Friday night activity we played basketball at the church with an investigator and some members. It felt so good to play but I feel like I am getting so out of shape. I need that jump rope ASAP. I hate what I'm doing to my body, I feel so unhealthy. This transfer, Elder Conder and I decided to go all healthy and eat right and do more cardio. We are getting some weights from a member so that will be nice. On Wednesday, the ZLs, Elder Peterson and Elder Fangalua came up for district meeting and we went to this really good Chinese restaurant to eat. It was really good. Then Elder Peterson and I went on a trade off and taught some good lessons and did a baptismal interview. Oh yeah, we also got transfer calls, Elder Conder and I are staying and so are the ZLs. It should be another great transfer.

Chicken Foot Soup

This last week was really cool. Last Monday, we went shopping and spent way too much money at a place called maga mart. It is like a Sam's Club or Costco. We didn't even really buy anything but they tack on a 17% tax. It's crazy. On Wednesday, we went and did some service at the church. It's getting painted and we cleaned up around the outside. we washed all the chairs. It was cool to go and help out. Part of the Sorensen's family came to visit them. it was cool to see someone else experience Jamaica. They thought it was crazy. So many things that they saw or heard were a really big deal to them but it's an every day occurrence here for us. It made me want to bring my family here to see what they think about it. One of our investigators cooked us some Chicken foot soup. Basically, it's borth and then some chicken feet just floating around. She said it was pumpkin soup, I was excited for it and then I opened up and I have a chicken foot staring me in the face. It tasted good but I hate the texture of the chicken foot. That same day we walked in her yard and there is a Rhasta man with about 2 pounds of weed on her porch bagging them up and getting them ready to sell. One of the bags here cost about $.50. There was so much it was crazy. The most I have ever seen. On Saturday, we went on trade offs with some members that are getting ready to on missions. We had some good lessons and found some good people. We are teaching this lady with twin 5 year olds. The boy make think that is how Tayte, my nephew, will be when he is older. We are also trying to teach some Cubans that don't speak English. The only we can do with them is go and read. They have a Spanish Book of Mormon. It's been cool. On Sunday, we had dinner at President Lee's and he cooked us T-bone steaks with mashed potatoes, vegetables, and rice and peas. It was awesome. The steak and Potatoes were so good. Oh yeah, and on Thursday, Sis. Rose, our land lady, took us out to dinner to the Yacht Club. She got us lobster, it was so cool and tasted amazing. We had six investigators at church. We had some really good lessons with Marlin, Ricard, and Mark. We gave them dates and they accepted. We have a baptism for a guy named Jordan next Sunday and it's in the ocean so that is way cool. Really good week. We had some great lessons and experiences.

Jam-Rock

This week was great. We were able to bring a member to teach with us a bunch of different times. It really helped our investigators. We have been really working had with the investigators that we have and they are all pretty strong which really makes things better. Marlin and Alicia are still trying to pick a time to get married. Marlin is awesome, he told us the other night that when we first started teaching him that he told himself that he wouldn't get baptized. We've been working with him a lot and he has been praying; he told us last night "I really didn't want to and wasn't going to but when God ah call you, you don't back down". It was pretty cool. Marlin's brothers baptism dates are coming up. Nothing really too exciting happened this week other than we went to Margarita Ville for lunch on Wednesday. It was good but I weighed a lot lighter when I left because it cost an arm and a leg to eat there! It was cool, we did that after district meeting and we went with the zone leaders, Elder Peterson and Elder Fangalua and the Sorensens. by the way, I love this new wallet I got, it is legit. On Saturday, while we were out teaching it started to pour down rain. We stopped under this little covering waiting for it to stop but it didn't and the water kept rising so we had to walk through a couple inches of water to get out. We were running in the pouring rain to our next appointment and this guy offered us a ride in the back of his truck so we jumped in the back of his truck. As he drove through about 8 inches of water we were surfing in the back getting soaked with water. We had some good dinners this last week from random people. Pretty good week.
