This week went by really fast. We had some really cool experiences this week. Monday night, after P day, we went and had a good lesson with our investigator, Otis. He is a good guy with a nice family. We talked about Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon. After we were done he said "Well, I have to go kill some chickens." and being good, service minded missionaries we immediately offered our assistance. We killed about 4 chickens and when we cut their heads off they went crazy. It was pretty cool. On Tuesday, we had a full day of teaching and had some good lessons with Alethia, a lady named Pat, a guy named Oritt and some others. We were always doing something and the time flew by. One day on our way home we were walking back and some guys were using a pulley system to pull some buckets full of rock and sand up to the third floor of a house they were building so we helped them with that; it was cool. Wednesday, we went on a long drive with the Sorensens to go teach a friend of one of the members. It was way up in the mountains, the scenery was awesome. We had a great lesson with her and really got to see a cool part of Jamaica. We visited another member up there and he gave me an Barrett and she is the coolest lady. Thursday was one of our more interesting days. We had a good day of teaching and went on a crazy drive with Elder Sorensen, the man is a stud. Then it was about 8:30 and Elder Conder realized he didn't have the keys. We were looking all over for them and in Jamaica if you don't have your keys, there is no way to even break into your house because it is surrounded by re bar, prison bars and pad locks. Luckily, the Sorensens are awesome and they let us sleep at their house. Friday morning we had to get up and break the lock off our house and buy some new pad locks. On the way home we bought some little fish for the Sorensens. On Saturday, we got a phone call and the fish were too stinky and messy for the Sorensens so we gave them to our neighbor. We also had a failed dinner appointment where the lady who was going to cook for us forgot that she told us she would and when we got there she was acting like it was not big deal. Elder Conder and I were starving!!! It was a good week.
